Sitting Out The Current Recession

 

Are you sitting out the current recession? I believe that’s the question on top of most people’s head at this point in time. Bad news after bad news, some lamenting that they are in some sunset industries…

 

Well, what are you doing about it? According to the local Singapore papers reported recently:

1) Some are spending more time dating, socializing on and offline, spending more time with friends and listening to each other’s sad stories.

 

2) Some with more time and not sure what to do are turning to exercise to relieve stress. Membership for gyms and fitness centres are seeing increased patronage and membership numbers are on the rise (not everything is going down!).

 

I guess those who have been retrenched and have some compensation from being laid off can afford to sit and laze around for the time being, but how long are you going to do that? Or how long can you afford that?

 

Those who are working shorter work week also have more time on hand. Are you not doing anything and just sitting out the current recession. I have seen and heard of people lamenting about current situation, wallowing in sorrow about their current financial situation.

 

However life goes on.

As the saying goes “you win some, you lose some”.

Rather than sitting out the current recession, how about moving your ass and getting some exercise done for a start. Gain in fitness, burn some fats and feed your muscles!
