Building Links Using Article Marketing
For those who have entered the internet marketing world, you must have heard of Search Engine Optimization or SEO is short, the importance of link building (backlinks) and traditional method of building links using article marketing.
There is buzz going on out there, questioning the effectiveness of article marketing and asking in we are seeing the death of article marketing. In fact, the opposite is true. Article marketing is not dead, it just need a different approach.

Using traditional method of Building links using Article Marketing:

You write original unique articles, submit them to article directories like ezinearticles, buzzle, articlebase, etc. These article directories allows you to leave a backlink to your site in the article resource box.
However, there are several disadvantages using this traditional method of building links using article automation.
1) Article directories usually allow you to insert your link at the bottom of the article or “bio box”. This looks quite unnatural.
2) Problems with duplicate contents. Article directories are full of duplicate content. Although they call for original article submission, there are a lot of duplicate contents, just rewritten. Search engines are placing lesser value on the content in these sites, and the quality of your link you get from having your article inside one of them reduced as well.
3) It’s not so much about being penalized for duplicate content but difficulty in getting ranking for duplicate content. Imagine there are 20 articles of the exact wordings, who will Google pick as the first one?
So back to the question of effectiveness of building links using article marketing. How effective is it with all these disadvantages listed out here?
